Natalie Phillips mission

Fort Collins, Colorado, September 16, 2015. Advanced Otolaryngology and Audiology is excited to announce that Doctor of Audiology, Dr. Natalie Phillips, will be traveling in October 2015 with the Starkey Hearing Foundation to Peru to deliver the gift of hearing. The team will give away hearing aids to children and adults in need.

Back in February 2015, Dr. Phillips traveled with the Foundation team to India for 4 days and fit 700-900 patients a day. Dr. Phillips will return to help the Starkey Hearing Foundation team of hearing professionals deliver the gift of hearing by fitting each of the recipients with their very own customized, hearing devices.

“I am so excited to be joining the Starkey Hearing Foundation team on this mission,” said Natalie Phillips. “The opportunity to combine what I do with a passion to give back is amazing and life-changing. The Foundation is bringing understanding to people around the world through hearing care. We here at Advanced Otolaryngology and Audiology are honored to do our part in delivering the gift of hearing to people in need.”

For over three decades, the Starkey Hearing Foundation has used hearing as a vehicle to reflect caring and to improve the lives of individuals, families and communities around the world. This hearing mission is one of dozens to help them reach their commitment to provide more than 100,000 hearing aids to people in need annually, and one million by 2020. In the last year alone, Starkey Hearing Foundation provided more than 175,000 free hearing aids around the world.

About Starkey Hearing Foundation

Starkey Hearing Foundation uses hearing as a vehicle to reflect caring and change lives around the world. Disabling hearing loss affects more than 360 million people, including 32 million children, worldwide, yet many do not have access to the hearing devices that can help them. Starkey Hearing Foundation fits and gives more than 100,000 hearing aids annually, and as a member of President Clinton’s Global Initiative, it has pledged to fit one million hearing aids this decade. In addition to giving the gift of hearing through worldwide hearing missions, Starkey Hearing Foundation promotes hearing health awareness and education through the Listen Carefully campaign and provides hearing instruments to low-income Americans through the Hear Now program. Started as the philanthropic effort of Starkey Hearing Technologies, Starkey Hearing Foundation was founded by William F. Austin in 1984.
